Julio Correa and the implication of his works within the Paraguayan National Educational Curriculum

Abstract

Addresses the topic of the life of Julio Correa from the perception of the people of his time and the current era; and its relevance within the local educational component. This approach was carried out after the need to know in depth the events that occurred in the decades from 1930 to 1950, in order to understand the issue addressed by Correa in his works, also highlight the importance of including them in the Educational Curriculum of the Medium Level, in the area of Language, Literature and its technologies, as part of the local component. The objective of this study is to analyze the theme of the poetic, narrative and theatrical production of Julio Correa from the point of view of his life story, through the perceptions of the people of his time and current affairs. This task descriptive investigation, with a qualitative approach that seeks to specify the properties, characteristics and profiles of person, groups, objects or any other phenomenon that is subjected to an analysis; In that sense, the documentary analysis and the application of interview questionnaires were carried out to nineteen people who met Julio Correa and / or who shared the stage with him, as well as two teachers from the Language and Literature area of an official management educational institution from the city of Luque. The result of this investigation showed that the significance of Julio Correa's inheritance to the Paraguayan culture is to have illustrated social reality in theatrical paintings, verses and narratives, describing the vicissitudes of the peasant people before a dominant social scourge. In light of this contribution, the relevance of the inclusion of his works in the Literature Studies Programs is verified; highlighting that his productions served the people at that time as a means of "social struggle" using the "Guaraní language" as the main instrument.
