Enteroparasitoses represent an important public health problem in developed and developing countries, being more frequent in children. This study aimed to describe the sociodemographic characteristics of children diagnosed with enteroparasitosis who consulted in the pediatrics area of the Presidente Franco District Hospital in 2019. It consisted of an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study. Four hundred and nine clinical records of children aged ? 15 years with a diagnosis of enteroparasitosis who consulted in the pediatrics sector of the District Hospital of Presidente Franco in the period from January to December 2019. Sociodemographic data (age, sex, origin) were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The 84.1% of enteroparasitosis cases were in children aged 2 to 9 years, 56% corresponded to the female sex, and as for the origin, 50.6% belonged to the neighborhoods of San Sebastian, Sacred Heart of Jesus, San Rafael, Santa Ines, and San Roque of the city of Presidente Franco. In conclusion, an important number of enteroparasitosis cases were found among the children who consulted at the District Hospital of Presidente Franco, most of whom belonged to the 2 to 9 years age group, an age group characterized by the need for supervision concerning hygiene practices.
