Proyecto IMPACTCOVID-19: Impacto en el bienestar emocional y ajuste psicológico en la población

Entre las medidas de prevención y contención ante la crisis sanitaria del Covid-19 se incluye el confinamiento de la población, con el consecuente aislamiento e interrupción de sus actividades habituales. El objetivo del proyecto IMPACTCOVID-9 es la evaluación del impacto en el bienestar psicológico de la población durante la pandemia de Covid-19.
Se diseñó un estudio observacional transversal, para ser llevado a cabo en un total de 12 países, repartidos entre Europa, América, África y Asia. Los datos se recogieron con un cuestionario elaborado para tal fin y el General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12). La confidencialidad y voluntariedad de participación en el estudio se mantuvieron en todo momento.
Los resultados preliminares en la muestra de España describen que el 71.98% de los participantes mostraron riesgo de malestar psicológico. Además, la reducción o un bajo nivel de ingresos económicos, se relacionó consistentemente con un mayor riesgo de impacto psicológico. Así mismo, los niveles bajos de sentido de coherencia se asocian a los valores más altos de distrés psicológico, disminuyendo el distrés según aumenta el nivel del sentido de coherencia.
Respecto a los resultados obtenidos por el resto de países participantes en el proyecto todavía no se encuentran disponibles, pues la implementación de la recogida de datos estuvo condicionada por la situación epidemiológica de cada país. No obstante, en la actualidad, todos los países están finalizando la fase de estudio de campo, y en breve iniciarán los procesos de análisis y difusión de resultados a la comunidad internacional.
