Women play a significant role in the rural economy in various capacities, such as farmers, wage workers, and entrepreneurs. They also have a crucial role in caring for and ensuring the well-being of family members, including providing food and caring for children and the elderly. The objective of this research is to describe aspects of entrepreneurship among rural women in Paraguay. For this purpose, a qualitative descriptive approach was used as methodology. The data collection technique involved searching literature databases such as ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. Analytical categories were used in three dimensions: training, access to microcredit, and public policies supporting women entrepreneurs. Grounded theory was employed for data analysis. The literature review has shown that through training, rural women gain an understanding of entrepreneurship, business management, and innovation to promote their growth. Another aspect is access to microcredit, as some studies have demonstrated that microcredit enhances women's purchasing power, boosts their morale and self-confidence to venture into entrepreneurship. Lastly, the importance of public policies supporting rural women emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts among universities, society, ministries, and key social actors. This collective approach is crucial for fostering Sustainable Regional Development.
