About the Journal
Objective and Scope
The Revista Científica Estudios e Investigaciones is a scientific dissemination space of the Ibero-American University. It has been published annually since 2012 and from 2022 onwards, it adopted a biannual periodicity, in print and online format. It is peer-reviewed, and open access. Contributions can be written in Spanish and English.
It publishes scientific works generated by national and international professionals and researchers in the areas of Educational Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Legal Sciences, Business Sciences, Economic Sciences, Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation, and Communication Sciences.
The journal accepts original articles, review articles, letters to the editor, short communications, current issues, editorials, and other sections such as scientific conferences or meetings, projects in development, and book reviews.
The abbreviation of its title is Rev. cient. estud. Investg. that should be used in footnotes, letterheads, legends, and bibliographic references.

Publication Calendar
The call to receive contributions is permanent. However, it publishes the first issue in January-June and the second between July-December of each year.
Originality
To be considered in the editorial process, the article proposed for publication should be original and unpublished, and not have been simultaneously submitted to evaluation in another journal. Each contribution submitted should be accompanied by a letter signed by the authors, detailing the work's main contribution, and stating that it has not been sent to any other periodical publication while it is under review.
Fees for authors
Shipping, processing, and publication of articles are not subject to any cost.
Open Access
The journal adopts the Open Access policy, allowing users to exercise various actions on the published articles, such as reading, downloading, copying, distributing, printing, searching, or linking the full texts, as well as any other legal purpose, without the need to request prior authorization from the editor or author. These terms are aligned with the principles established in the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) Declaration.
License
All content is licensed under the Creative Commons CC BY License. Users of the journal may copy, distribute, display, and produce derivative works including for commercial purposes, provided the author is acknowledged and cited.
Preservation Policy
The Ibero-American University has a preservation system for its digital files through redundant and distributed storage to create greater tolerance to failures. The journal´s management platform uses this system. The files in PDF format are stored in the university´s backup system.
In addition, the journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a file distributed among participating libraries, allowing these libraries to create permanent files of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes. It is currently in the process of migrating to Keepers Registries.
Self-Archiving Policy
Pre-published or pre-printed articles (preprints) are accepted on servers with that methodology.
Interoperability
The Revista Científica Estudios e Investigaciones incorporates the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interoperability protocol that allows the collection of metadata by other distribution systems.

The authors retain ownership of their copyright of the published articles and may disseminate them in any form or medium. Authors grant the journal the right of first publication.
